Peniche emerging from the mist

A lovely river mist cloaked us this morning,  with a watery but bright sun shining in through the cabin windows.   A large peniche slid past us as if flying through a cloud………….what was I drinking last night????

Today we left Jaux and moved on further down the Oise to a place called St Leu d’Esserant.    Seemed like a nice place to stop and we covered around 38 km and 3 locks, which is quite a lot in canal terms.    Stopped for the night, with the intention of moving on in the morning.
